Babies, babies, and more babies...

We have babies coming out our ears! Four friends in the past few weeks and a new nephew, Ethan James Smith. We took time to see our friends the Cooper's new addition, Molly Anne and new nephew, Ethan, last Wednesday. All was well until Bo attempted to stick his pacifier into crying Mollie Anne's mouth...I'm still a little mortified. I do have to commend his thought process even if it was a germy attempt to help. Pray Molly Anne doesn't get sick.

Here are some pictures:

19 months...

Full of life and glimpses of imagination---Bo "feeds" his Bo Bear and Nana Bear a little breakfast he saves from his own plate along with some milk. Sounds of sirens echo as he scoots around the house on his hopper.

He is starting to put 2 words together as statements and last week started pointing and prounouncing names of objects/people/colors unprevoked by me. Very exciting to see his mind working.

Changing times...

Babies are everywhere lately it seems. In the upcoming months leading up to our due date we have 12 friends execting babies (9 of these will come before the end of June!!!). What an exciting time as life changes.

Last weekend we celebrated baby Miller that will be here end of April/beginning of May. Kristin is my college roommate---we lived together for 4 years...2 at the cutest apartment ever and the other 2 in our giant sorority house. Kristin is one of my favorite people. She is everything Lily Pulitzer encumbers in each pink and green concoction that comes out of their design center. She is genuinely kind and fun. We had a great time in Athens, GA...what a fun time with friends. Baby Miller (Joseph Wyatt) received some of the cutest, most amazing gifts I have ever seen at a baby boy shower. You expect cute after cute after cute with girl showers but usually not so with boys.

Oh, and our news...we are having a baby girl...due August 8th. We are so thankful for a healthy report from the doctor. Praise the Lord for healthy babies, His plan, and His timing.

Nothing butt fun...

Ever tried chasing an 18 month old for a diaper on a beautiful sunny day???

Sometimes I feel like a broken record on this blog but I feel like my time with Bo just grows sweeter. He is now almost 19 months and has a personality of personalities. He is a charmer and is apparently fluent in Chinese (I'm guessing that is what he speaks to me all day long). He talks, runs, jumps, laughs, smiles, and is a ball of energy. 100% boy yet his heart is so tender---he already reminds me of his wonderful daddy. He is playful, curious, and loving---his big beautiful blue eyes glimmer as he explores, learns, and grows each day. Bo brings us more joy than we ever could have asked for or imagined.

Do you ever stop...and pause...and think...that our God of this beautiful world relishes in us as we do the sweetness of a small child? The joy Bo brings fills my heart in such a way that I can't begin to fathom or digest the love Christ has for me. I feel like my days as a mom are full of unspoken worship as I am in awe that God would entrust one of His own children into my care. What an amazing gift.

Here are a few sweet shots:
In the oh so fun Bilibo...

Get naked and eat spaghetti!

Busted playing in the dog's water bowl...again...used to seem like a big deal but how fun is water to a little boy???

What was I thinking?

Do you ever wonder that as a parent? Fingerpainting for Valentine's...really??? Well, atleast this fingerpainting excursion (our second this week) I did think to take off his shirt. He's learning, right? He's experimenting, right? His little brain is growing and synapses are developing, right?

I can be thankful for all the sweet pink, red, and magenta hand prints ALL OVER (do you understand what ALL OVER means) my downstairs (and my room for that matter). What have I learned: joy of an 18 -month old can't be measured in messes and fingerpainting should be done naked. I wish I could pause even the "messes" in life.

I would like to thank the people at Crayola for making a truly washable paint...you have saved me not only a brand new polo shirt but oh so much sanity.

Happy fingerpainting!

We're having a what?!?

That's right...a new baby Broadrick on the way! Due in August. (August 8th...the day before Bo's birthday). God is good and faithful and we look forward to meeting this new addition!

This picture was takien at our sweet friend's the Brewer's house. We visited them yesterday and Bo met their daughter, Anna Wells, for the first time! I should also mention tormented their sweet Westie, Georgia, as well. He was mesmerized with Anna Wells' toys...have you ever seen an 18 month old in a boucy seat??? Pretty hilarious!

Thank you for the wonderful pictures, Jennie!

Chrismas...finally :)

Whew...I'm pretty sure this past month is deleted in my mind although I am certain we had a blessed Christmas with lots of family. We spent Christmas morning here in Chattanooga and then headed to Dalton for breakfast with my family and the afternoon at the Broadricks. Such a sweet time with a wild Bo. Bo loved our Christmas tree and elf on the shelf. He woke up every morning, bumped down the stairs on his little belly, ran to the tree and pointed wanting it to be turned on. As soon as it was he would say,"oooohhhh" and point to all the mo-men (snowmen). We waved at the Elf each day (even in the middle of the night when we ended up on the couch together on sleepless night) and sang songs to baby Jesus on the mantle. Although he didn't quite grasp it all, it was so great to see him light up with excitement over and over. Here are a few fun pictures over the past month.

Christmas morning at our house...the tent was a hit for all of 5 minutes before he started attempting to scale it...will be on Craigslist sooner than later! We love the Bilibo!

Five, six---pick up sticks and great-grandparents on Christmas Eve.

All I want for Christmas is a red wagon and a balloon? (at my parents)

And a few other random sweet shots...

Posing with daddy after face planting at the park. 3 hits to the nose in one week---the park, a fall off the porch, and a bloody nose on some slippery socks. (completely aware that I have a little boy and "things happen" but really, poor little nose).

Cheesy for the camera in his new GA jacket!

After all that it's time for some baby yoga and relaxation...

Happy New Year to all!
