Summer Fun...

It's not even officially Summer but it is sweltering here! Ninety percent humidity at 7:30 in the morning does nothing for a 7-month pregnant woman....however, it seems to have no effect on Bo! He is still wild as ever and I am trying my best to fight the fatigue and the on-going "to-do" list constanty running through my head to enjoy him. He is talking so much more. I'm guessing practice makes perfect because he is waking up each morning b/w 5:30 & 6:30 talking to himself.

Our sweet baby girl is healthy and growing. We are both anxious and excited to meet her. It is really sneaking up on us!

Here are a few pictures of our last few weeks...lots of "firsts" for Bo.

First "Baseball game" with Daddy...he is still talking about it 3 weeks later and regularly chants the "Put Me in Coach" Chant.


And then off to Bob the Builder LIVE. Bo is quite the dancer drawing an audience with his smooth moves. He enjoyed the music and characters but I'm pretty sure he missed the enviro-friendly plot on recycling. Seriously, the child has moves!





Then, we had breakfast with Curios George to kick off the summer exhibit at our Creative Discovery Museum. Nothing like a 7 a.m. fix on pancakes and syrup to get a 22 month old up and running.

Is this my uncle or dad? Adam made for a hilarious addition to the week as Bo was mistaken as his child by several strangers (one time while he & Bucky were playing with Bo on the beach).
Fun with Nana & PawPaw!


Daddy time---Bo couldn't get enough! Did I mention that Bo remained on his EST schedule even though we were on the gulf? We were at the beach by 7 a.m. nearly every morning b/c Bo (now able to crawl out of the Pack & Play) was ready to go b/w 5:30 & 6 a.m.













Bucky, Bo & I spent the last week at the beach with my mom, dad and brother (Nana, Pawpaw, and Adam). Bo was a lot of fun, so much personality. He didn't love the ocean...actually he cried everytime we walked toward it as if we were going to toss him overboard. He did take to the pool pretty well. We really had such a fun time with him, watching him explore and take so much in. His talking and walking got a lot faster as the week went on---he now runs everywhere he goes.

I'm trying everyday to take him in and soak up my moments with Bo. As I grow tired (and bigger) and less comfortable each day, I am reminded that my (our) life is going to change all too quickly with the addition of our little girl. My heart is saddened and full of wonder as I think about how this new baby will fit in our life. I love my son and he loves his mama, loving to be held and cuddled and I am sad that those days are ending---at least for now as my lap is slowly disappearing and carrying is getting more challenging every day.

Lord, thank you for my time, my job, my calling and my heart. How I love being a wife, a mom, a daughter of Yours. Even on my hardest days please allow me to remember that your calling is good and pleasing. Poopy diapers, toilets, laundry, bathtimes...maybe not glamour but oh so beautiful to You.

Pomp and Circumstance

And the longest graduation of my life! Still, a day to be celebrated as my little brother graduated from UGA a few weekends ago. Now he's off to MCG in August. Congrats, Adam! What a fun weekend of celebration we enjoyed in Athens, GA.

Can We Fix It???

Bo is totally into "Bob the Builder" right now. Every worker or piece of equipment is called a "Bob-Bob". It is amazing to see how little boys are wired---we have never taught him to love "Bob-Bobs", he just does. His excitement is contagious.

Last month we had a screened in porch added to our house and there were Bob-Bobs galore! Bo was a little watchman each day glued to the window as the workers hammered away. I found this Bob The builder tool set at a consignment sale and he wore it from the time he woke up to until bedtime. The underwear around his neck was an addition that he pulled out of the clean clothes basket and refused to give up for the day...won't it make a great rehearsal dinner picture someday????

Day out with Thomas

Last month we took Bo to A Day Out with Thomas at the Tennessee Valley Railroad. Quite a hot day and a little overrated but Bo seemed to enjoy it. He and Bucky actually rode "Thomas" while I waited behind :)

Easter Sweetness

We had a BEAUTIFUL Easter here! The sun was shining all day (a beautiful day for the Master's final round and that glorious nap that usually happens right before its big finale). What a wonderful day to be with family and celebrate that our Saviour has risen. Sadly, Bucky had to work during the afternoon but we enjoyed the morning, Church, and Easter brunch together. I took Bo to Dalton for the afternoon to see our family. He was a delight to see searching for eggs and rummaging through the baskets for goodies the Easter bunny brought.
