Another month...
Has come and gone by way too quickly. I try to soak in my days with Bo as I know our one-on-one time is growing short. We spend our days playing in the backyard, at the aquarium/museum, napping, eating, and everything in between. He continues to amaze me as he grows and is as sweet as he is wild. What a joy. He makes us laugh more often than not and can bring me to tears with his sweet voice saying "please, mama". Yes, he is beyond rotten yet I pray that we are fostering his heart to feel and express his feelings well. He is very tender and I long to protect that from the roughness that surrounds us daily.
Baby girl Broadrick is growing and squirming far more than I ever remember with Bo. Most of the day I walk around with a point completely stuck out on my right side attributed to a knee or heel of sorts pressing to the point of what feels combustion at times. She is out of room...we are expecting a long skinny baby to arrive in the upcoming 3 weeks.
A few pictures of our last few weeks!
Swim classes at the Y with our friends Amber and Jacks.
Get Naked and Eat Spaghetti night.
Celebrating our sweet baby girl. Bucky's sisters were so sweet to host a family get together at their mom's house. We had such a fun time visiting and everyone brought such beautiful gifts. It was a wonderful time to honor our sweet girl that will be here ever so soon and be reminded of what a blessing it is to be surrounded by wonderful family.
And I am pretty sure this makes me the worst mom ever...the fact that I awoke to a little voice calling, "mama" at 6:15 one morning soon to be followed by my discovering of Bo covered with poop. Where do you even start??? Well, I thought a camera was a great place followed by a shower! Where was daddy??? Running.
And finally Bo's first trip to Athens, GA. We went last week to see 2 college roommates and meet Kristin's new little boy, Wyatt. Natalie is expecting a boy in November as well. My mom made the trip and was a tremendous help with Bo. It was so much fun to catch up with these two girls. Being back in Athens can be a time warp...very hard to believe it has been 5 years since we left there!!!

A big move!
To a big boy room that is...last night was Bo's first night in his "big boy" room. Bucky and I spent all weekend of our baby-moon/stay-cation/anniversary celebration getting everything ready to make the switch. It only took an hour for him to go to sleep and I didn't hear his sweet feet until 6:30 this morning. I must say it was both melting and strange to have Bo standing at my bed saying "hi, mama" after nearly two years of getting him from his crib. Oh, how my heart has tugged and tears have flown over this transition. I just feel like it is too soon, he can't be old enough for a bed. Yet, he is just that, a little boy that continues to delight us daily with his ever so growing vocabulary and personality. Challenging at times, very active and wired with a heart like his daddy---sweet and tender.
Here are some pictures:
Waiting patiently as mom/dad scramble for the various cameras (aren't we supposed to have these packed in the precarious hospital bag???)
On the rocking horse made by my dad before Bo was born---Bucky & I thought he would never fit on it.
"Here are all my Bob-Bob's"
Checking out the toys/books on the great bookshelf his paw paw made for his special room.
And, sleeping away...like a baby, I mean Big Boy!
